Beachbody Nutrition

Is there a nutrition plan with the exercise program I’m considering?

YES! Beachbody understands that while it's important to exercise, it's more important to get the proper nutrition. Otherwise, all that work your doing to get in shape is for nothing.  Every Beachbody program, like P90X, Insanity, Turbofire, etc. has a complete and flexible nutrition plan to help you learn to eat healthier and to get the results you desire. For additional help you can join the Team Beachbdy Club ($2.99 a week), and get access to custom meal planners that let you customize the nutrition plan that best fits your goals and lifestyle.

It’s not always possible to stay committed to eating being healthy because… How do I stick to eating right?

There will always be those times when you can't eat according to your nutrition plan. Things happen. The important thing is to get back on track after, and stick to it. Occasional lapses in nutrition are fine and sometimes inevitable. When dining out, try to look to the heart healthy options on most menus for options, and STAY CLEAR OF DESSERTS, unless it's some fresh fruit. Also, for difficult times, why nit try a meal replacement shake that you can mix with milk, juice or water. Beachbody has Shakeology. It's nutrition simplified with all the nutrients you need. Shakeology also is very filling and you will find it suppresses your appetite. It satisfies you in so many ways.

How important is good nutrition?

Believe it or not good nutrition is MORE important than exercise. Eating properly fuels the body for exercise. If you're not eating the right foods to promote overall health, all the exercise you're doing won't mean a thing. REMEMBER:You can't exercise your way out of a bad diet! Why do all that hard work and then throw away all that you've accomplished because you ate garbage?

I stick to the nutrition plan and exercise, but I’m not losing any weight, am I doing something wrong?

Not necessarily. When combining exercise with the proper nutrition, two things will happen. You will lose fat, BUT you will also GAIN MUSCLE. Judging your progress solely on weight loss is not a very good indicator. You should also look at body measurements, your energy levels and how you feel, how your clothes fit, and how others compliment you on your appearance. Another thing to consider is that as you lose fat, the vacated fat cells will fill with water to leave room to be replenished with additional fat. Because of the diet and exercise, that fat won't return, and your body can hold on to that accumulated water for so long. You may go for weeks without losing a pound, and then WHOOSH! over night you will drop 4-6 pounds. Have patience, If you average 4-8 pounds a month, you're doing just great.
